Fusion Fca4000d @ 16v

I cant find an answer to my question through searching, so Ill just go ahead and ask it.

Will I have any problems running this amp off of a 16v system that charges at 19.1-19.2? I know it can handle 16+ volts, but I also know some amps dont like to see that high of a voltage while charging. What about the remote wire...safe off the same voltage? Ive read of some problems with remote wire voltage being too high and not letting the amp stay on.

Thanks guys.

The remote shouldn't be any higher than 12 volts. But the amp will take the voltage fine :) I know someone runnin 3 of them on a 16 volt + system

You have to keep them very cool at those volotages tho as they do warm up QUICK

And as for the remote wire....I ran my v4000xd's off of a 16v remote wire. Not sure why this would be any different, but wanted to see if anyone had experience with this amp.

My Visoniks never got warm at 16v's..and I beat the crap out of them for hours on end at times.

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

With all my previous installs ....esp ..our SS-1-2 car with the memphis 4ks ...we had to have 16 volt on the remote also ...we could roll the volume then into protect everytime ...changed the remote to 16 ..never another problem ....

huh... i wonder if thats the issue with my sundown. Its not going into protect thou. Did the voltage drop quite a bit on the remote prior to going 16v?
