Well I mean I could that was my first idea but I wanted to see what else could be done then I thought about removing the bench seat and putting a pair of different seats then I heard a guy made a complete box from Plexiglas with a light MDF frame and though maybe I could get a special fiberglass box or just beat those ridges out towards the bed to give and inch or two of extra space.

u could put in 2 buckets, and make a nice box for ur center console type deal, hold a few tens or 12's or a bunch of 8's

Love the budget you got and much props for getting that at your age. I think you can do hell of a lot with that and not have to dump it all into the system.

I say go with the less is more attitude on this build. Here's my .02.

First go have an alarm installed.

The, look into the Ascendant Audio line which basically is Fi with a different dust cap. Not sure all the details why Scott released this line but a lot of the fellas on the team has ran it and its an excellent line. Instead of 2 12's I say cut down to one and corner load it. Since you have a single cab truck that thing should sound solid. I'd also say go with the Ascendant Audio Components. They do not come with a crossover so you'll need to make sure that At least the amp has one that you put in (which majority them do). A nice five channel would be great for it but, being space is an issue a 4channel under one and small mono block under the other would be ideal. I'mnot sure what amplifiers your into but, a lot of folks run sundown on here ( I haven't tryed them yet) or the new RF line is nice as well. After you chose a head unit I say you spend about 3-4 if you pay retail. If you look around on here you might get it from 2500-3500.

What other mods you gonna do? Lower, Tint,Wheels

I do want an alarm installed and I'm not sure why Scott made that line either lol, but yea it does sound good...only if Fi or AA made shallow subs lol they probably would be top notch. After I do my sound system I'm going to get some new rims and tires I already have a great set of stainless steel dual exhausts by Flowmaster, and I was thinking about getting a In-dash by Jensen and putting Rockford's Power T162C in my doors (if you know any better door speakers I could put in let me know). But I am getting a darker tint and the front of my truck is already lowered a bit. I just put in a K&N Intake System I might also get a custom paint job, which will be done back in my home town (New Orleans) because I know a guy who is as good as the guys over at West Coast Customs. I have been debating between putting in airbags for the hydraulics effect. But I'm not sure after I put in m Rhino bed liner this weekend I'm going to think about the blow through.... Any other ideas guys let me know I will be considering what "team bassick kimo" said because I just started to realized that in such a small space one 12 will rock it pretty good.....

You can't go wrong with a single sub set up. A lot of people wil tell you to go with two and more. It's just my.02 and my experience that recommended it.

Air Bags are completely new beast. I guess another good advice would be do an electrical upgrade now. Your gonna start putting on accessories like a system, an alarm, air bags, maybe some lights or something, Your electrical is crucial. If you go into the electrical part of the forum there is a pinned thread about the Big 3. If your don't know about it read about it. If you do know about it that is a great tutorial and step by step instructions. That alone will help with basic "charging". A good battery and alternator eventually wll be needed as well.

Ascendant Audio mid-end line's woofers aren't too deep. They are your basic stamp steel frames.

DC Audio lvl 2 or 3 is also a nice way to go.

X2, I've got a pair of lvl 2 10"s and they are DEF. loud enough.

Couple of questions you were asking, no I would not try and bend out those ridges, more work and you wont be as satisfied as you're thinking in the end.

The blowthrough would give you the loudest results I'd imagine, but it's gonna be a HELLA lotta work, consider that as well.

Step one, take some of your money out of the bank and get a GOOD alarm installed just as the others have said.

Now if it was me, I'd do a fiberglass console with two 10"s or 12"s downfiring. Just put in some bucket seats and work from there. I'd bet you can work the shifter into the console quite nicely!
