Mosin
IMO Kicker over Alpine anyday. Go with the 2 L7's in a good box with the 1500.1 and you'll be very impressed. Plus your getting more cone area. Derp.
ChiTownTBird312
why kicker or alpine if you have 3 grand to spend?? those wouldnt be on the top of my list if i had that much to spend....just IMO but between the two, id say l7's because i used to have some and they sounded pretty good...type r's sound nice too, but i never owned them so i dont really have an opinion... Daddy_
K i had a quick talk about the L7's. He said get the 2 12" L7s 4ohm and get the Hifonics 1608 amp wired to 1 ohm and it should pound or not? But with a $3K limit why just a Hifonics amp? Get a Kicker or Fosgate amp. I hate to say this, and I love my L7's, but get better woofers with your '$3K' limit. Not sure which ones but these other guys can help... Derp.
a_steezy
yes sirs, go with the two 12" l7s with 1,500-2,000 rms, shit'll be amazingly loud, my one 15" L7 with the zx1500 thumps louder than almost every 1500 watt set up i've heard, and on the dl i payed i think right at $500 for new sub and amp... research the internet before purchasing, and make sure it's all kicker authorized so if something's bad, kicker will fix/replace it for free '98 Dodge Durango 5.9L 5% front windows, 2.5% on all backs Alpine CDA-9883 Kicker ZX350.4 Kicker KS650's in all doors Kicker 1/0 hyperflex
ChiTownTBird312
for the money you would be spending on alpines or kickers you could get something much better plus a better amp....shit thats a lot of money to have to spend on a system. i would have a field day if i had that much for mine. Fi, Sundown, ***, Incriminator....the list goes on. just depends what you want out of your system Matt W. 1996 Thunderbird LX Sport 4.6 new system soon...still deciding on what to get.
