Gearstix
I have a 2.2L 4cyl in my truck, thinking of putting in a 6.2L diesel, but I might not. Just wondering about larger alts on 4cyls, is the drag noticable, do they do any damage to the engine over time? I know theres a few of you guys with CRXs and stuff.... Quote 2005 Blazer Build... str86diesel
Pending on what type of truck it is, it might not be cost effective to switch to a diesel, as you will have to replace the Transmisstion (to be able to handle the torque of the diesel) and possibly the driveline, rear differential and brakes. I would talke a look at this post to address your question about the alternator. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...p;hl=alternator Adding additional Alternators won't affect the engine at all and theoretically yes it will take a little bit extra effort to turn the belt, since there is another pully added. But I think the big question is how much load will be on the alternators? kev Quote 2k6 Dodge Ram 2500...CUMMINS POWERED - SOLD
