id like to add a lil something to the mclellan thing what exactlt did they say when you asked them doug i have a few family members that im sure could help with this event either there or at another location need to find out the budget aspect as well as far as media and t.v. goes got some peeps that work for a local telivision channel kvie channel 6 lol so lets hope for the best on my end ???

i drove to kansas city one time......and that was the last time - f#ck that drive! Its a fun adventure to drive that far but driving home after a long weekend SUCKS. Especially on 24's.

oh i hear you mayne (meade and alpine). it'd be better off transporting the hoe and flying in.

for the newer guys that would NOT even consider setting foot in a location outside of the home base for what ever reason, it's an insult to every other dedicated competitor that makes the trek out there....like Team Rip Rock that drove 36 hours straight to attend Indy. They didn't demand a location in Canada -- even though Toronto would probably have a very good turnout.

This multiple location bs turned off a lot of OG's to the audio game. Wayne gave everyone what they wanted -- a location closer to home. Yet the turnout is smaller than years prior despite trying to cater to everyone. Can't blame the economy on that either. Look at the years with the highest attendance. Remarkably it was also the years of the dot com bust when the economy was just as shitty.

Plus I don’t care that much for audio competition to spend more then $100 to go to any audio show, even finals. Sac would cost me like $10.

I know "most" of the respondants to this thread are from the Sac area but you guys can't just think about your own back-yard... Wayne gave us San Mateo which was a good turnout and there are various venues (Indoor) that are nearby...Alameda Naval Base, Alameda County Fair Grounds, Santa Clare County Fair Grounds, San Jose Convention center... just to name a few.

Hell even if they found something down south where you could make a trip of it...Disneyland-Knotts Berry Farm-Majic Mountain, your only driving 6 hours TOPS.
