Wayne can save his money and have one show then on the East Coast

And Doug can run West Coast Finale like we did before.

Finals was never on the East Coast and West Coast Finale just ain't the same without Rusty Flowers.

Think outside of the West Coast box and start thinking globally. Think about what would benefit everyone (not to mention his company) the most.

Getting up in arms with the attitude of "fux this then" is counter productive.

We all had a great time in Laughlin and would hate to see it go away, but seeing the attendance there I understand.

I just don't want to HAVE to drive to INDY IF there is some kind of West Coast Finale here. I don't have the time, energy and money to make it all the way out there. Guess you can say i am not "hard core" or whatever.

Like many of us, I just like the atmosphere of competing and having a good time and if there is a end of the year show we can put on ourselves (West Coast Finale) for the people that won't be going to WORLD FINALS in INDY 2009, then it should be OK.

And hands down, I seen the VIDS from INDY.... you really can't compare those LOUD ASS CARS to anything...would have loved to been there.

I don't see this as a east / west thing at all. What I see is a bad decision on location from the start. "Fort Mohave" was a doomed location from the get go. It was too far from any kind of competitor base as well as any kind of spectator support. The only people around were a few blue hair tour buses. Hell even "Laughlin" was 20 min away. I think before anyone can sit down and say it was a failure they need to address why it was a failure. I don't manufactures for not wanting to support Drag when there is no promotion to bring spectators into the doors. Why would a company want to set up a booth to showcase to a group of people already tied into their brand.

If we want to sit down and discusses a business plan for future finals then I'm sure there are quite a few people like myself ready to give Wayne a hand.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

how's this for a business plan:

offer a free ride to finals to the points champ in each region for both bassrace and dbdrag. Free ride meaning a transport for their vehicle and a free entry to the class they won their region with.

In total that can cost upwards of 10k to transport 8 people in the US -- however EVERYONE will see that and a lot of folks will go for the throat to win that free ride.

I don't see why we couldn't do stuff like free or discounted booth for every shop that host a show throughout the year. Chain store points shootouts. bring in a car show. Stage for bands. ETC.

Autorama is a prime example of how even a 1X can bring out 40+ cars for 2 days. You can't tell me with the little bit of promoting that show gets doesn't show a good competitor base as well as a fantastic amount of spectators.

I don't think the sport as a whole has had a focus on promoting as much as it could.

I think Lauglin was a disaster of a site, I could not even find a starbucks till I got to bullhead city.

Towing a car it was 11 hours for myself was a pain but I chose to do it so I won't cry. Lot's of things are affecting this sport right know including the economy. Also I was told to turn my radio down by the convention centers staff twice. That don't happen at cal expo....

Good thing someone like Steve was not their giving full time demos....Though christian and the hummer were pounding them out.

Do it right this time next year, Cal expo is the place. Pay the money and do some raffles to help out.

Hell drop the budget for the shirts that u get us the wrong sizes anyways, just rags for me now...

We the competitor will come out hard. I would say atleast twice as many competitors will show up.

Then their will be no last minute beggin competitors to come out. Probally could get a better internet connetion too!!
