My friend has a '00 Yukon, This is what I know off hand. 8 mojo's 15", Wall behind the seats, 5 MtxAudio 4001D's, 300 amp alt. Big 3 done. At least 3 kinetic 1800's And he just doesn't like the build.

At the local comps heis hitting 154.x ish on an Audio control and feels he should be getting more.

Should he drop 4 subs and 1 amp? Build a box instead of the wall he has? If so what type of box and tuning. F*ck it all and get Fi btls and sundown 3000d's?

Any input appreciated. thnx

Doesn't look half bad at all. If that 154 is on a pretty calibrated Audiocontrol it wouldn't be a half bad score for that gear in that kind of installation. Obviously if you're after numbers only then alot can be changed there for increases.

How does it sound though?

With that much cone area, power and sealed enclosre(i think), guess it's a pretty good score.

Pushing it up is gonna have to take either more power, more subs, or different box (which disrespects the first two choice most likely).

The best idea for getting a good score is have the gear you're gonna work with, then working on them to maximise ya SPL. Startin witgh the subs ain't a bad idea....

Wat numbers is he looking for and what vehicle is it???

I say that he should sell all of the Memphis subs and MTX amps. Then have him talk to Jacob at Sundown and he could do something like 6 Nightshade 15's and 6 Sundown 1500D's. That would be a badass setup in that ride and he should have enough room to do a flat ported wall with 6 15's which would be louder than the type of setup that he has now. Just my opinion, but it could be pretty damn sweet.

First of all thnx for the advice so far. I'm going to pass it on.

To answer a few questions The "ports" are between the sub circles, Thats why you can see back there. Put 3 circles together and the triangle in the middle is open.

As far as how it sounds, Sounds great, looks great, And is loud. It just doesn't hit hard or meter well. hard to explain about the being loud but not hitting hard. I'm sure you guys know what I mean though.
