New Smd / Ascendant Audio Sub In The Works! (cats Out! Page 8, Pics Page 12!)

i was supposed to have my proto-pics today.......and im sure i will - i wanted to wait till i had them before i finally said something. Ill give you what i have though.....

i will not be running Fi anymore. I am switching to AA - but it goes a little deeper then that. It will be AA's biggest, baddest sub - and it will be the SMD edition. I am waiting for the specs to be done on it so there is some T/S (i think im supposed to get some) but i can tell you it has a 4" coil, power handling will be rated at 3500rms, not the standard basket (like my RE's and Fi's) but a different one. It should (of course) have tinsels IN the spiders (to avoid past issues), and be one hell of a beast.

My own proto's should be in the Tahoe SOON and ill be making videos the DAY they show up.

Availability, mid to the end of January. Hopefully sooner but that is how its looking at the moment.

(here is what the dustcap is supposed to have on it, except the SMD part will be blue)

i will also start a fresh thread once i have working subs and they are about ready for sale. i hope sooner then later, im very excited!

Fi owns Ascendant Audio by the way so in laments terms he is still running under the same universal company.

The hoopty has the old style Fi BTL 18's in it now.

But Congrats Steve, its awesome to see where your hard work has come. On another note, are these subwoofers going public or are they a seperate line for you to just run?

Chickens caddy will not be switched out.....that i KNOW of anyway The Fi's are still brand new and only had 2,000 clean watts on them for short periods of time. Plus they are a pain in the ass and that is X8

oh no bro, they will be VERY public.....mid to end of January i can start slangin them. AA is a dealer brand so you will need to call me, or find your local store that carrys it. Either way, if you want them, you CAN get them! Ill more then likely have a special deal for my SMD members OF COURSE. If it wasnt for you guys, the SMD name wouldnt be SHIT! So thanks to everyone, INCLUDING the haters!

Well, think of how much Meade has spread the word for Fi. AA and Fi are basically the same company so maybe this is to help get AA more out there now too. could be wrong tho... and do not quote me on this lol. but good shit man. does this mean you will be building a new box too? maybe?
