Guest MegaloManiac Posted January 15, 2007 Report Share Posted January 15, 2007 i dunno something tells me this is a bit different. verizon runs off a completely different network (cdma) than cingular (gsm). i dont think apple will produce two different phones for both of the companies. verizon has been using motorola phones since god knows when so im sure thats why they produced cdma razrs. but i doubt apple will produce cdma iphones i think this will be a cingular exclusive. btw for those who dont know the main difference btwn cdma phones and gsm phones is that gsm phones use a pin card with all their info so they can just change from phone to phone with their pin card. verizon phones or cdma phones are locked onto a phone until verizon locks you onto another phone upon request. verizon does everything they can to squeeze every nickel out of you i highly doubt theyll like the wifi idea on the iphone cause they want you to pay $45 a month for their internet/data package for their phones SIM card not pin card cept t-mobiles network is awful you could stand next to one of their towers and get like a bar of receptionmaybe where you live... I had so much problems with that device dropping calls, running itself outta memory...it was horrible. Pretty much it has a really cut down version of windows mobile on it and everything you open an app, you have to go to task manager to close it, or it remains open. Plus the commerical states that you can edit and create word/excel files. They are wrong, the phone has an app called pixviewer in which you can view documents, but not edit. Plus the battery doesn't last more then a day...hense the reason why they give you a second battery (no joke). i've still got the phone here waiting return labels if you want pics. I am doing a demo of the 8525 and though it is huge, its got a flip out full keyboard. The quality is superior to the blackjack. That is if i want internet or any of the other cool shit. Besides they look at you like your a pyle of shit when you talk about not signing their shitty 2 year contract. They really rebel.....they make all their money off them contracts thats why. I actually like my razr due to the size i just dont like texting with a keypad......takes forever for me and im not even THAT slow at it. Its just a chore to type one sentance.
