S2000 Compact Setup

Recommended Posts

i just got a s2000, and i want to get some more bass. there is very little trunk space so my other option is to have a setup in the cabin. the sub needs to be shallow. have any of you guys seen or done a subwoofer setup in a case like this? i already have a T2 and a XXX but i know i dont have nearly enough airspace for either one.

JL shallow sub, Rockford shallow p3, RE Audio shallow are the ones that came to mind quickly or you can always op for some 8's.

the p3 shallows are pretty good, but imo if its an airspace and not a depth issue, go with good 8's. I think i recall seeing 2 8's between the driver and passenger seat in that car somewhere...

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

I have the RF shallow 12 inch sub. Just one and its decent. It doesn't get loud, but mines only sealed. Personally it lacks on clarity and 'depth' of the sound at times. The lows are muddy.

But IDK, i think you really need about two shallow woofers, to get a decent amount of good sounding bass. I would only recommend the RF, if you can try to squeeze in two. IMO i think 2-3 8 inch subs will be better than a shallow woofer.

The JL does look nice but I haven't really heard it or have seen any reviews.

If I get a new truck I am thinking about squeezing in 4-6 8's. Or some JL's.

The Jl's seem like they are designed a lot better and they have a higher rms.

The set up your talking about would sound great in my Tahoe. Trade you my dog for it. He has one eye but that only makes for bad depth perception so hey so what if he is running into shit, look at it this way he is easy to sneak up ninja style on. (right side only)
