JPagan Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 I am going to start buying components to put together a system in my car and I want to buy a Rockford Fosgate T1 but at authorized Rockford dealers they are asking 350 for a 12 T1, would I be better off buying the sub at a authorized dealer where I get the manufacturer warranty or buy it a sonicelectronix where I get the store warranty? pstone11 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 I would go authorized as much as possible, but it comes down to the $$ sometimes.... I've bought a ton of stuff from unauthorized dealers and have been treated well when stuff has gone wrong. When it comes back and bites me in the a** (it most likely will..) I will change my tune... - Authorized refurb dealers like HDA are always great as well. Quote Check out StoneSounds to see my recent builds.Or look at the Flying White Facebook Page!
BASS14 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 yea it comes down to the money...if you have it id def go authorized but i have bought almost all my stuff from site like sonicelectronix and have had no probs at all!! so it just comes down to the money and your choice. Gq85 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 (edited) It's all up to you I buy Authorized and Unathorized. $350 for a T1 12" though that's kinda high is that quote from one dealer? I would check somewhere else. I remember I purchased my T1 12" from an Authorized dealer and got it for $200. Edited November 25, 2008 by Gq85 Quote
RamenNoodles Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Yea that is a little steep for a t1. But if you want the warranty go for it. if something were to go wrong, you could just buy another one and still be around the price as the authorized if you went with an online retailer. JPagan Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 The price of 350 for a 12 T1 was at my local audio shop, but If I buy the sub the same time I buy a box, I get a nice box for cheap price like 50 dollars. Quote

Try haggling with them, we sell T1 12"s for 299 and still make money off them. But buying authorized RF is the only way to do it, we swap everything out in-store.
