Guest KyleCannon
When adding a second battery can you run the positive from the front to the back of the car and then make a ground to the chassis or do you have to run a negative as well? RamenNoodles
Completely up to you. Im more of a fan to the chassis right in the back to save wire and its shorter. I would suggest doing two runs of positive to the back battery and grounding right in the back. Eskii
Yeah, it's reallt personal choice. I prefer running pos nd neg runs, just coz i know that the path for electricity is consistent and can look pretty neat. You can either do both and don't forget to fuse it.
Boon
If you ground to the chassis, make sure you upgrade the stock chassis earth to 0ga (part of the big 3) Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
Guest KyleCannon
Should I fuse it by the second battery or up at the front battery? I have also done the big 3.
Boon
Should I fuse it by the second battery or up at the front battery? I have also done the big 3. Both, really. A short in the middle of the wire would get current from both batteries, so if you don't want your car to catch fire fuse both ends. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
