Screws Vs Wood Glue

For big power systems I've seen glued joints then screws to hold then glass inside box. Hell add a little acetone to your resin if you really want to soak into the wood. Then do another layer with MDF dust in the resin for added strength.

i prefer glue only, with clamps on normal 1 sub setups. for bigger i'll use screws here and there but its still mainly just glue and bracing

Exactly. Elmers woodglue... lots of it. Gorilla is good, but really expensive, and probably not neccessary.

And since nobody mentioned it, it's a good idea to pilot drill all your screw points, to keep from splitting the edges of your MDF. The correct drill size is critical though.... Too small a bit, and the MDF will split even easier.... Too large, and your screws will not get enough bite, and will strip out. If your not sure what bit is best for your screws, just do a few tests on scrap wood, before you get started.

I usually use both wood glue and screw and fiberglass resin for the inside and sometime I'm going to build a huge box i would double baffles it and add multiple bolts, washer, and nuts.
