He's right.

Of course a 4000w amp pops 300A fuses. It probably draws 400-500A of current at full tilt... which is a good reason why amps like this (with just 1 0 gauge power input) really need a rear battery or a bus bar with 2 or more runs of 0ga from the front battery. Pulling that much current over a single run = bad.

That amp should have come with a 500 amp fuse, 300 is not going to do the job pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop.

the new 4kws i am running came with a fuse block with 2 250 amp fuses. yes it does draw much more than 300 amps of current. thats a good reason why they are popping on you. i dont fuse from the battery to the amp so i dont have to worry about popping fuses. and the new 4kws are very protection happy so they are next to impossible to blow compared to the old 4kw's. much more efficient too.

Well this amp I am talking about is for sale and the guy only want $200.00 for it and he said that it keeps blowing 300amp fuses so I am guessing that he dosent know what he is doing. Is their any other internal problems you guys can think of that would do this so I can get a quot on fxing it if I have to.

LOL ask him if it works fine when its not cranked up.

If he says yes and doesn't know about the whole fuse thing, you might get a badass amp for cheap that might not have any issues.

I'm not garunteeing anything put hey it might be fine and it sure is cheap. LOL ya I can be cold blooded.

Its still buy at own risk but it might be a risk worth takeing.
