I want to run at least 3000 watts and I know either set up would do it but dealing solely with the strain on my car's electrical system. I have done the Big 3 with 1/0 ga wiring and I will have a 2nd battery in the trunk as well as a 250 amp alternator. I am probably going to do another run of 1/0 ga wiring as well. Well with that electrical system you'd be better off with running two 1500ds at 1-ohm. If you haven't bought your subs yet, then figure out what your best bet would be. RamenNoodles Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share Posted December 26, 2008 Why are you gonna be running them on .5 ohms. That sundown 3k will be the exact amount of power you would want for 2 BLs. If you are doing full tilt with the amp, eventually you may have some damage to those BLs.
