mr.p Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 So if you had a choice of almost any woofer, which would it be? I know alot of people like DC, FI, RE, AA, theres alot out there! I have considered running BTL's as they are proven and i owned the first gen ones and it sounded damn good in my opinion. one woofer i seem to have a fetish for is the RE XXX 18, granted this woofer is not very good for spl and its a high end sq sub, i have 10 cubes to work with in a cpillar wall and frankly dont even have a clue as to which woofers i should use?! The new smd woofer thats coming out looks pretty awesome. Does anyone on here run the RE XXX's daily? How much power could these take continuously? Whichever woofer i choose it needs to be very musical, the enclosure i was considering would have 2 ports tuned to upper 40hz and be able to close one port and have it workout to a very low tuning for daily. I honestly dont know what the xxx's go for but im sure its ridiculous! Quote DCAUDIO BALLS DEEP
AI James Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 as far as i heard RE isnt even making the new xxx 18 anymore Quote

Quote That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

Boon Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 on another note i owned the 12 and 15 models ODNT RUN 4k rms on them lol Slight thread-jack but what do you reckon is a suitable daily limit for them? My friend just picked up the only V4 12" in this country (one of the early ones, not the ...new... stuff) and he has 2200wrms on tap, should we be gaining it down or is that right on the money?
