Loudcav
Sundown saz-1500d or AQ 2200d? Which amp puts out a higher rms at 1ohm at around 12.4v. Iv read a few threads on it via google, but nothing promising. Both amps cost about the same. So I guess my conclusion Im trying to reach is for the $ per watts, which amp is built better and has a better over all sound quality to them. My first assumption is that you realy cant go wrong with either brand. Comment? not sure how the AQ amp will act at a lower voltage compaired to the Sundown but the 1500D has been shown to do good power at a lower voltage the AQ might be fine or itmight fall flat on its face
Derrick824
No shit! What ohms, voltage, subs, and box frequency? 12.9v, 1.1ohm reactive load, 2 RF T1 15s, 6ft box tuned to 33hz peaking @ 40hz does mid 148s all day long in his Altima. banginAltima
No shit! What ohms, voltage, subs, and box frequency? .5 to start rising to 1.1 ohms 14.2 to start dropping to 13.5 (stock 110 amp alt with 2 G31 Yellow tops) subs are in sig between 32hz to 34hz depending on what program I use peaking at 40hz burps a 145 even at 2 ohms can bass race well over a 140... If you build it, db's will come... NSPL World Record Holder Trunk 0-1800 watts---147.9 with 1722 clamped watts @ 40Hz(9-20-09). Zade08
WTF do you think mine is doin ballpark rite now. 200a alt 0 awg wiring. 2 bl15s at 1 ohm nominal at around 12.5v. Box is 4cubes per sub tuned to about 33hz. Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild. New shit coming in the next 30 days. Derrick824
12.9v???? are you sure? Not really but I know your factory alternator can't hold voltage for shit. During all the old tests we did with the saz-1500 it always dropped to 12.9v.

Box is 4cubes per sub tuned to about 33hz. That would just be a random guess without clamping it to see exactly what rise is. As a random guess a buddy of ours had his saz-1500 clamped at a local NSPL comp and from a 1ohm nominal load it made 1324watts.
Zade08
Is there any thing I can do to lower my impedience rise or is it all in the enclosure? I know getting more batts is just going to keep my voltage up. Im fixin to get the new redtop summit just started carrying. Does 1000 crankin amps at 32 degrees (I live in Fl). Its about $160. Im just runnin a cheap everstart with 750ca right now. Doesnt do to bad. But still can get down to 11.5-11.9 at full tilt. Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild.
