Got My First Gun Today

Ive got a marlin 22 lever action its always fun to bring out every now and again I usualy shoot at something similar to this http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...&id=0012734

that or I shoot at old boxes boxes and a shotgun are usualy pretty fun so is a box and a 22

I had that same rifle with a 30 shot clip,never had a single jam. Thats a very reliable .22

I never really used a 22 smallest I use is a .223

22's are fun guns and cheap to shoot, and most of them are pretty accurate.

ive heard the larger clips will start to jam up and not feed right over time.

Yeah they really are, I love it. I can shoot it in my subdervision without getting the cops called and 550 rounds is 13 bucks. I don't plan on hunting with it just wanted a gun to mess around with since it was my first that I own. I've shot many guns and killed a few deer but never owned one due to my mom being scared of them. My dad bought my mom a Walther P22 because he works nights but she refuses to shoot it, it's just comforting for her to know its there I guess.

I bought Aaron's hoyt bow and I'm looking at a few twelve gauges now. So I'm looking forward to this hunting season.

No we had some targets set up on a lilttle island thing in the middle of the pond, but what happens if you shoot into water at an angle?

Barring freak accident, as with many things in life nada.

The bullet will enter the water and begin to lose velocity rapidly...as shown in the Mythbusters tests.

The whole "skipping" idea would require an EXTREME angle (or extremely acute at impact on waters surface in this case)

X2...look into folding stocks. 3 way folder is whats on ours, with an over barrel hand gaurd/shroud. very much more handy that way.

Over A LOOONG TIME and maaaaany rounds.....the reciever can shave the top of of the plastic mags down and it will fail to keep the bullets in the mag...which if you can keep them in there long enough to load the mag into the rifle...can cause jams.

25's and 50's are common and cheap.

Great Gun IMO.

Tonns of fun, nice n cheap to plink with, and you can "sniper" one out w/ heavy bull barrel n such to make em nice n accurate.
