marquettefan247
My dad just bought a 96 gmc Yukon off his friend so my cavalier is goin up to my sister. I need some ideas for this thing. The loudest system at my school is a tahoe with 4 12 comp cvr and underpowered by 500 watts. I was thinkin 2 18' btls or 4 15 inch btls. Price is not an option I have to beat this loud mouth punk(also he said steves car aint that loud) Edited January 15, 2009 by marquettefan247 Quote 1995 Ford Mustang 3.8l V6 5 Speed Plans: 2 12 inch dc Level 4s DC 2.0k Amp KCA 1/0 Power Amplifier Installation Kit 220 Amp Alt XS Power 12V D925 AGM Battery Stinger Volt Gauge Rockford Fosgate RCAs Box built from birch. Bigg Boy
I would try to some thing cool like 12 12" or some thing. You can fit 12 12" in the trunk no wall. Do like 300w a woofer. I would try these out http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=17723 $600 shipped for all 12 woofers. It will actually work out to be cheaper most likely, you dont need a huge amount of power to get real loud. duct_tape123
Go with 4 15" of a lower brand. More cone area on the same power=louder. My older brother has 4 15" stage 2 Rockford Punch subs off of a kicker 1000.1 and it kills my buddy's Rockford T1 power 12's off the same amp. My brother paid ~$800 for subs, amp, wiring(1/0), and box.
