BJD3 Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 On the computer or on disc? I know several burning programs have volume leveling on a standard music CD. Mp3 CDs, I'm not sure about. Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive. 2002 Buick Park Avenue DC Level 4 M2 12 D2 Car Audio Bargain 1600.1 Eclipse CD3200 ~2 cubes @ 34 hz. Stinger Roadkill Expert
Boon Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 I think Foobar can do it but I think that's just playback leveling... if you convert a whole lot there might be an option too. Edity edit. MP3Gain. http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/ 10.x volts fo' life!
Decaf Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 its because you need to be more diligent about what mp3s u are downloading... using audacity and wmp should help identify visually when a song is too quiet or distorted once you figure that out, download a new copy or buy the cd if you use volume leveling, its compressing ur media even more, and making all of the tracks as close to the quietest track used for leveling, this might make all of the songs sound the same and you can use the same volume # on the headunit, but you are deteriorating the quality of the music... which is already not great if its mp3 since most people dont use the highest/best settings when ripping music from a cd, then sharing it on p2p software my .02cents edit* ive tried everything i can thats free, and no matter the software, you are making the loudest songs quieter and removing alot of the warmth and detail in a song that would be present if you had the artists cd
