i'm going to be powering 4 15" diamond audio D3 subs. they'll be dual 4OHM. however, should i get 2 amps and make them dual 2OHM or should i just get one amp and make them dual 4OHM? or any other way?

Power Handling NOM/MAX: 500/1000 Watts

now they can handle a bit more then that. so maybe 1200 watts unless i'm using one amp then should i get more power? i'm just clueless on what i should use to power them. any ideas?

WTF?

If you get two amps, you can run each pair of subs at 1-ohm by paralleling all the coils. If you get one amp, you can bring the total load to 2-ohms across all four subs.

You'll be safe giving the subs 500W each. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll blow the shit out of them with too much power.

Get 2 monoblocks that do around 1000wrms @ 1 ohm and strap them.

With D4 subs you can get a 2 ohm final load.

2 DAT1000.1's would do awesome here.

for the final 2 ohm load

I'd vote for the zx2500.1

probably put out 2,600-3,000 at 2 ohms

sounds right for your application

alright, so just one big amp. sounds good. and between 2,500 and 3000? if i get a 3000 that'd make it what? 750 per sub? that'd sound pretty good.

what are you powering yours with? and do you think it'll sound good powering all 4 15"s?
