thehoe92 Posted January 9, 2010 Author Report Posted January 9, 2010 went out with my buddy cameron tonight because he got a D40 for christmas.. the plan was to get day shots but lately theres been some crappy weather so we got some more night shots I love the look of the beam in the fog yee! I've always wanted/needed a picture of me with my car.. if tomorrow is a clear day we'll get some sick day shots! Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
bombout800 Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 never heard of that before!maybe cheap Ebay projectors? you get what you pay for? the light output and "cutoff" on my stock housings are alright but I know I could get more output with some projectors I bought a set from a company for my old grand cherokee(2003). I forget the name of the company, but i paid around 700 for the pair. These were retrofitted projectors with acura tsx projectors. Its going to kill me not remembering the name! damn!!! Anyways, this set was not leaky and the projectors themselves had a close enough to perfect cut off. I tried over and over to get the brightness the same as stock. Of course, I never achieved this goal. The lights did have a better or should i say broader range than stock. The actual output of light seemed to be down. I dunno. I like projectors for h.i.d. better but i have seen some bright, bright lights in your year tahoe, suburban, silverado, sierra,..etc.. I'm sure someone makes some now that are awesome. I just have never had good luck. I thought maybe you were going to the ebay scence for the lights. Sorry, but i guess i misjudged the situation! ha ha. Good luck! 03 350Z

Good luck! retrofit is the shit especially from a tsx! but nah if I am paying for projectors I'm doin it right, I just posted up a picture from Ebay of how I want them to look so maybe thats where your confusion lies. I like the light output out of the stock lens but I know there is more in them plus I want some smoked housings without actually having to smoke the front of them Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

Ive planned on getting them for a long time and im gona start working on the outside of my truck now so those will probably be one of the first things i get. Then tint, LED tailights tinted, rims and paint all the chrome
