only downside is the better camera will show the dust that got trapped in when I painted the right tail light

tis cool though, nothing some wetsanding or rubbing compound can't take out

Sweet, then im going to use that rustoliem paint instead. I'm gunna buy some new tail lights so it should have a nice surface to adhere to once I clean them and sand Have you thought about putting clear coat on them or have you tried that?

yeah I was REALLY happy with the outcome of the rustoleum as soon as I sprayed it on

if you get brand new tails there shouldn't be much to prep, maybe just paint thinner but you shouldn't have to sand them

I sanded mine to get the imperfections out

the lens tint is made to adhere to plastic housings so its not like you need to sand it like traditional paint in order for it to grab on to something

I want to get a clear coat on them but I ALWAYS fuck up the clear coat and it ruins the whole process

I'll probably grow a pair tomorrow and try it, the key is light coats even though it looks like shit when you do 1 light coat you just have to wait and thats where I always fail and it starts running

I know with Nite Shade you need a clear otherwise it starts to chip but I'm fairly confident it shouldn't have to the rustoleum

no problem dude!

just remember the biggest part about doing it is patience, I can't stress that enough

its either take your time or get a headache from lacquer thinner fumes while you clean off the paint

Ok well thanks for letting me know about that, you probably just saved me some disappointment from using nightshade. I have a couple hookups with people who paint so I might do the clear coat also and see how it comes out!

On a related note, in your last video I saw a box for 6 subs, did I miss that or did you just put it in?

and I'm not trying to get anyone away from Nite Shade, if you know how to use it then its worth it because its got the red in it but I don't and have never had good luck with it but the Rustoleum first try I had good luck so its just another option

he's on my myspace and he IM's me every night but I'm always away, he keeps saying he'll send it but I guess he forgets, I'm not too worried about it, when I get it, it will mainly be for whoever wants to use it like you haha!
