But on a long run the 700r would proly when but thats were geraring comes into play. But the 450 is just faster! Not sure how seriouse you are but you could build a bad ass quad for about $1,500. All you need is a gsxr motor and banshee chassie. But back on subject the yfz is lighter and faster on take off. The 700r might be 1 or 2 mph faster but thats it. On the other hand the 700r is more comfortable. It just depends on what you really want to do. For racing I would go with the yfz hands down. wildbeast15 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Share Posted February 9, 2009 (edited) get a quad an older one i love mine a 86 250r with some"slight" mods (nothing is stock not even the frame its extended) i payed 2000 for it... it used to be the east coast endurance champions before he got sponsored by yamaha so he practicly gave it away THANK YOU CHRIS CONDEN... it helps when your mom is dating his co state trooper and his wife is nagging him to get rid of one of the quads.!! i blew the clutch out in oct for the first time... it needed a new one... and a sneak peak at the new rims for my exploder not to mention this thing walks all over anything including 660s banshees everything it gets near i JUST took on a bombardier baja x a couple of weeks ago and smoked it..
