99 Gmc Sierra Ext. Cab Box Build Update 2-18-09

Recommended Posts

So, went over to my brothers the other night to run the wire in his truck and tune his amp for him, after some talking and exchanging of ideas, he decided to scratch the bass tube he has now, with a RF P1 10 in it and make a swap for 2 DC Level 3 10's.

He has a RF 1000bd. the older style like meade had. We are raising the seat 1/2" - 1" to make room for the amp and to explore some ideas later down the road. The level 3's will be ordered when ever i get a hold of Rusty.

Thinking of doing a sealed downfire under the rear seats, but im not ruling the ported option out yet.

Anyway heres some pics.

thats all i have for now. gotta go to the at&t store in town and get a new battery for my blackberry so i have no clue how much more ill get done tonight.

has 2 layers of mat on it now. figured it was a decent day to do some glassing as it is kinda nice outside.

waiting for it to set-up now.

all cuts made with jig and circular skill saws.

hope to get the back and sides cut and glues and screwed on today. Wouldve cut them earlier but my dad is doing some painting on a trailer/float for a parade in march so i didnt wanna get MDF dust all over it.

edit the post and add to it :) dont make people think this is a thread with double the talking and half the building...it looks like its going that way already

i like how you took the extra step to make it stronger by adding the glass and stuff...better to do it once then have to repair it later
