wizorm Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I recently installed this unit and not being familiar with the by-pass for this unit i tried the 26604 code and it didnt work . I need help on this one, i grounded the parking brake wire and tried the code and nothing ! I tried the code on a xdvd 710 unit and it worked perfect , can anyone help ? Thanks

Dr. Johnson Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 When I did an install with one it required the ebrake ground to be on a switch then you just toggle it a couple of times and it works then with out a code.

jmitch Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 on all the h/u ive installed all i do is ground the brake wire and they all worked i used that method from clarion to soundstream but may be different with dual. I know a lil about everything so dont call me Mr. Know it All.

Boomin660 Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 To get around the parking brake you need to hook the parking break wire to a toggle and the toggle to a ground flip the toggle on for one second off for one second then back on and leave it. and it should bypass
