Can a btl fully loaded handle 3500+ rms for long periods of time without blowing??? Also will I get a 3db increase since thats almost double the btls rated power or not???? Its mostly how its installed, dont boost at screwed up frequencies, dont abuse the sub, and you should be fine Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. If you turn that up all your going to do is send a clipped signal to your subs and cause them to overheat faster. With that much power and some excess heat from a bass boost it will blow sooner than later. Neo_frog Posted February 16, 2009 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 How about instead of worrying where your bass boost is at, just tune from the HU back with an o-scope. It'll take all the guess work out of tuning and giving the subs clean power. I did it for the first time a week ago and it's so damn simple and my gains are all up surprisingly high without any distortion. I really suggest it to everyone. So you guys are saying I can give it the whole 3500+rms but dont turn up the bass boost and I'll be fine?? becuase my subs are going to be getting a lil over 6 cubes a piece that is'nt too much for that much power is it???
