tibs Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Im making some Door pods that i can bolt onto my stock door panels. Its my first set i ever tried. ive made some kick panels that sat in the corner on the floor but wasnt molded into anything.. taped up.. then i put some wax on it. the lines were some guidelines not how it was suppose to look. pulled off and cleaned up. Im using T-Nuts to bolt it on. I was going to round it over but i forgot to leave some extra wood around the speakers, so it has a very slight round over.. but not really much. Today i got 1 wrapped and put some resin on it. I think I might wrap it in this material that i have on some other pieces in the truck and for some bass i have 4 of these. RE se12's dual 2 ohm my current 4 kenwood subs hit the lows so i cant wait to put these in. but im going to make a false floor and take out the backrest also in the truck. The Performer Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 They look good man. A lotta speaker for the front doors, for my taste, but they turned out great. CERTIFIED BITCHES!!! QuickXr Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 They sure do look like they are for an f-150. I have a 1997, been trying to figure out how to do some nice door pods. I want them to look factory, like they were meant to be there. I couldn't come up with anything that would "flow" into the door properly. Thinking about going into the a-pillars, already have kicks.
