Chris
and polyfill gives the sub the sense of actually being in a bigger box? with the polyfill added, what is the 'theorhetical' size of each enclosure? Yeah only to some degree, it slows down resonance inside the enclosure and makes the sub perform as if the box was actually bigger. just like a bigger box would make air move slower. not sure about how you calculate the amount of difference it makes though  Quote 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. BAGGEDBIRDS.com
I don't know either. I just usually do it in a sealed box. sean 371
the prep is more work the vinyl almost. I use a good glue. NO RATTLE CANS. I know there are people that say 3M Super 77 works :ranting2: IMO they are junk! Only good for a carpeted box, maybe. I use this and spray it through a Harbour Frieght $14 gun. http://www.yourautotrim.com/noname37.html I use a heat gun to make the vinyl soft and a cool damp rag to apply/push it down. The cool rag keeps you from burnign your hands becuase its hot and it makes it slick so you can rub the vinyl. Look at my door panels in this forum. I did them the same way. I staple hidden edges when i can, it depends on what the base material is. How do you do that front panel though? Is that a part of the box or a thin piece of MDF laid over the box? BAGGEDBIRDS.com
1/4" MDF rounded over. there really isn't a good way to do a stitchless/seamless wrap without it. How'd he attach that panel to the box then? Same way as GP did in the yota build? (make a slit for the screw and then cover it?) i dunno how well that would work with vinyl though... BAGGEDBIRDS.com
no slit that won't work with vinyl. its siliconed on.
