BAGGEDBIRDS.com
For a co-worked about 3 years ago. It has two Plain/cheap Rockfords in it. The woofers fire down. I was surprised how loud it was. sean 371
That looks so clean!! How do you go about upholstering that? I've been looking all over the internet for a vinyl upholstery tutorial and cant find sh*t. I'd really like to start doing some vinyl work Quote A couple links to some box builds: Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI, Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150 My own car builds (current setup --- under construction): Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors Subwoofer Wall
BAGGEDBIRDS.com
the prep is more work the vinyl almost. I use a good glue. NO RATTLE CANS. I know there are people that say 3M Super 77 works :ranting2: IMO they are junk! Only good for a carpeted box, maybe. I use this and spray it through a Harbour Frieght $14 gun. http://www.yourautotrim.com/noname37.html I use a heat gun to make the vinyl soft and a cool damp rag to apply/push it down. The cool rag keeps you from burnign your hands becuase its hot and it makes it slick so you can rub the vinyl. Look at my door panels in this forum. I did them the same way. I staple hidden edges when i can, it depends on what the base material is. andym85
nice. couple of questions...are u using 10" subs, how many cubes per sub do u have, and is it straight mdf, or a combo of mdf and fiberglass for the enclosure? i am gonna be doing an install on the same truck basically, a brand new z71, and am just wanting to get some ideas. BAGGEDBIRDS.com
all 3/4" MDF, No 'glass. They are some $50 RF woofers. I think they were just about .5 cu.ft. each, or a hair under that. The box is stuffed with polyfill. The subs are 1 1/2" off the carpet.
