Steve, where do you get your 2/0 wires and stuff from?

Recommended Posts

For my next install I need to get at least 6 battery terminals for 2/0, at least 25 ft of wire, fuse holders, distro blocks (or should I make a bus bar?), ring terminals and all the other goodies and accesories.  Also will 2/0 be enough for 4000(3700 really but the amp are a bit underated) watts and 425 to 500 amps current draw. If you could point me in the right direction, I found the fuse holders (http://www.donrowe.com/accessories/fuse_anl.html). Hey I say it doesnt have to be pretty as long as it works, right.

I wouldn't be asking this question if verizon wouldn't have bought out my firends audio store (he sold cell phones too, and he was the only real audio shop in town, the rest are like best buy and home of the one wire fire) and it being a new year and him being not a real shop anymore, they wouldn't renew his dealer app. At least memphis is letting him stay on (I still get to order my favorite component sets still). Anyways, do you buy local? straight from rockford?

Thanks

Steven

I thought to be sponsored by rf you had to use all rf stuff, except source unit. That is how it is normally, I used to be "sponsored" by memphis when I had memphis in my silverado, but even then I still had to pay for the stuff (even though it was next to nothing).

I just want to know how to get the stuff, I could care less about anything else though.  I just want to know where to buy connectors, fuses, wires and everything else.

to answer your question, for the most part, if you have to.....you can use 1/0 terminals on your wiring and get away with it.  If you have to cut a couple strands at the terminal to get it in it shouldnt be a problem.  You can also buy some RF 2/0 stuff from Cardomain and maybe Darvex.com.  Hit up your Memphis rep. If your sponsored it shouldnt be a problem, and in your case next to nothing.

I was sponsored, but not sponsored like most people think.  It is what Memphis reps call a sponsorship, that is why I had it in quotes.  The sponsorship was through my friends audio shop, and all I had to do was agree to do a couple of shows a season, at least 5, and put memphis decals on my vehichle, and use everything memphis except the source unit. I had to use memphis everything down to the last wire.  the system wasn't anything special just 2 mojo 12's running almost the minimum amount of power to get the pounding 2 memphis m-class mcd1000's (should've went with mk4kw, but that was my mistake) m-class mca3004, and m-class mca150, 2 runs of 1/0, and all m-class components front and rear.  I could scroung up some pics, but they were taken before I had my digi so I got to find a scanner. I could ask them if they could hook me up with all 2/0 stuff, but I have lost my leway with them since my friend's shop is just a cell phone place, that does occasional installs now and then.  Is there a place that I can get the stuff online that is actually 2/0 or is my friends shop or rigging 1/0 terminals my last option.

Me personally if I owned a car audio company such as RF I would give Steve whatever the hell he wants.. He could possibly make any company look good.

BTW got pics of your ride with all the memphis shit in it?
