i just got 2 re mt series subs from a friend of mine new build so out with the old i guess my gain i need some ideas on how to build a box for 95 tahoe. box ideas anything would help

In my suburban without a wall, I had better luck subs and port both rearward about 8-10" from the rear wall. Gained .4 dB vs. any other combinations I tried.

2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz.

1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

and dont do the tunable port, its pointless if your not competing, and just give your the first time box builder a pain in the ass to deal with.
