for my first system i want some hard hitting subs but i dont want to brake my bank

i want to spend at most about $400 for 2 12/15"s and i cant decide on what to get

for a amp i want to get a Hifonics BXi2608D

and i plan on keeping my stock HU and getting a pheonix gold 2 channel line driver

at first i wanted to get kicker L7's but after looking at DC's i wanted the level 4's but idk if i wanna spend that much

the level 3's look good but they only run at 600rms while the kicker CVR's run at 800rms

You will be more happy with the lvl3s imo

dc lvl 3 are a good choice you won't be disappointed.

Rockford P3's or T1's are Great subs for a low cost.

LVL3s may be "rated" at 600 but youll be fine givin em more! CVRs maybe "rated" at 800 but iv seen em blow on 600 so....with that said you should go w DC! like already said its really not a competition between the DC LVL3 and the CVR

like i said this will be my first system so idk what to be expecting here

is there a big diffrence between the lvl 3's and 4s?

if i go with the lvl 3 im guna get 2 15"s but if i go with the lvl 4's ill be going with 2 12"s

from what i hear other people saying its all about cone area? i think?

also if i go with level 3s should i get a diffrent amp?

and another thing

i have a friend that has 2 L7s i think theyr 12"s (not sure and im not really friends with him anymore since he moved) will 2 level 3 15"s be able to hang with his L7's?

they aren't rated at 800 watts...400 watts rms. Thats why 600 watts would blow a CVR. Not hard to figure out why the sub would fail.

you could just look in the forsale section, im sure ive seen some level 4s go for around that price down there, but if not WCA Rusty will be able to help you, hes great at getting info to people.

yeah cvr's are good for the money but if you can get lvl3's then defenatly do that
