So, my question is what size alternators and how many will I need to run these amps in a daily/streetbeat setup setup? System tear out has begun...Out with the old i have a iq of 128 i graduated at the top of my class tell me how im reatrded you are the 1 thats dumb as hell you can't even spell Look at the underlined text hahahahahahahaha I think of it as the virgin losing the virginity technique not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme
Dr. Johnson Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 You Really need to include information about what vehicle you have and engine size at a minimum as well as other pertinent information like batteries and wire size and # of runs to the rear of the car.

I plan on using 5 d3100 powermaster batteries and 3 runs of 2/0 gauge power and 3 2/0 gauge ground. Thanks again for any input. Neo_frog Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 It never hurts to go dual alts, but try to fit as many as possible if you have the money in case you ever upgrade. (Two should be sufficient) And as for size, it really depends on how you want to run it. If you want an idling monster, go with multiple 250s (or similar) and if you want maximum power at the expense of high RPMs, then get the biggest you can fit. Need an install? So, my question is what size alternators and how many will I need to run these amps in a daily/streetbeat setup setup? You can go with the biggest alternator you can fix under the hood. While you buy one. Ask how much idle does it put out? There are some alternator don't need to raise the RPM so it put out it idle according to the build.
