Im looking at a 9500 series DD 12 and also considering the DC lvl 4 xl 12 which do you think would get louder and be more musical friendly but sound good getting loud?? I rarely have seen blown DD's but seem to see blown Dc's therefore why i said what i said. Id love to test one some day rusty. maybe a low end and ill get a dd of the same price value and test them head to head in custom built boxes. I had a set of 9512s and played the living piss out of them and never got stinky.

SplPhreak Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 Your asking this on a biased forum. You're going to hear 'DC are better' 100 times. Ill yet and answer this with an UNbiased opinion. The higher level DD series(I'd say anything higher than 3500 series) are only for spl. If you want a music/spl set up go for either DD 3500 series or a DC lvl4. Now when It comes to comparing what you asked(this is where the biased opinions come in) the DD 9500 will metre higher numbers.... But it won't play music for too long without something burning up. I believe the DC will be better if your listening to it daily and wanting to meter it... Simply because you won't blow the DC listening to music. Me personally... I would go with a DD 3500 series.
