Team_DC-Derrick
ive been debating on this one for awhile, does it really help running from the negative batt up front to the back with the ground? im trying my hardest to get as much power as i can back to the 2 2400s i have. Opinions? thoughts? im welcome to all Thanks Derrick Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... Team_DC-Derrick
yeah my big 3 was done right, went from sitting at 13.4 idle to 14.0 idle guess im might be using this other 40 ft of knu 1/0 awg for power wire for the future LOL Edited March 29, 2009 by Army_guy614 Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... Team Nemesis-DJ
purpose of it ...is to have a solid ground ...most cars now a days are unibody
Team_DC-Derrick
so would i be better off doing more grounds up front and more ground spots in the back? *up front being in the engine bay...* like neg to transmission and neg to engine a few more times? troy
as long as you have a solid ground it will not benefit you at all. if yourground is weak then gor for a ground to the bat Quote retarded build on the way..... 2000 bagged s10 2 hdc3 15s aq2200 aq4x90 stinger/knu wire optima batteries 220 amp alt fosgate hu/mids and highs
siucsaluki11
Always test the potential at the ground location, dont forget that, dont wanna create a ground loop. Im not running as much power as you by any means, i ran 1/0 to my dist block, 4 ga. to the amps, 4 ga. from the amps to the ground block, 1/0 to ground it, and 1/0 from the batt ground to the chassis Quote woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... The enD
So as long as I have a solid ground from the battery to the chassis, and from amp to chassis there would't be a problem ?
siucsaluki11
Correct. You dont need to ground them at the same spot, just make sure they have roughly the same potential. I think mine both ended up within .05v of one another Quote woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port...
