cnate777 Posted July 9, 2010 Author Report Posted July 9, 2010 Well, I have started the A pillars while I am waiting on the batts and alts.....I tacked the pods up to the A pillar at the moment and I am pretty happy how they turned out as well as their placement on the pillar.....as you can see in the one picture I am also incorporating a triple pod gauge cluster as well....so it should be interesting......The batts and VCM are shipping out on the 12th and the chrome brackets for the alts wont be back until the middle of next week.....so shortly it will all start to come together until then.....stay tuned Rockford Fosgate Sundown Audio DC Power Inc XS Autometer Pioneer
hdorre Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 You have some expensive components in your hands! Are you sure that those speakers aren't too big for the A pillar. It sticks out too far for me and doesn't look angled properly. The drivers a pillar should be tilted towards the passenger headrest and vice-versa. Hope this helped... cnate777 Posted July 12, 2010 Author Report Posted July 12, 2010 I started to glass the A pillars today......got the first and second coats on.......I also finished with the exception of 2 hose clamps the filler neck for the truck.....because I put the battery tray in the back between the frame rails I had to snake the filler neck around the battery tray.....so that is finished now......like I have been saying the batts are suppose to ship tomorrow....so I will be starting that soon.....stay tuned Rockford Fosgate Sundown Audio DC Power Inc XS Autometer Pioneer
cnate777 Posted July 15, 2010 Author Report Posted July 15, 2010 OK, it has been a while and not a lot has progressed really...haha.....well I happy to announce that the filler neck is 100% complete....I got the VCM and the triple harness.....one harness comes with the VCM....today I got the XS banner and the demo XS D3100 battery for mock up and such....and the A pillars are coming along too....not easy when you work 50-60 hours a week.....stay tuned....... cnate777 Posted July 16, 2010 Author Report Posted July 16, 2010 I am union boilermaker.......thanks for all the support too....it motivates me to try and squeeze every inch I can out of the time I have to keep the progression of the build going.....so thank you.....anyhow I did a little more fiberglass on the a pillars so they are to the shape I like now I will wait for tomorrow and throw some more kitty hair to it and maybe I can start to sand it down a little.......I also ran some power, ground, and remote along with my Rockford video cable for the headrest monitors......and I also straightened out the speaker wire that runs on the drivers side....I just didnt like the way it looked......so until tomorrow.....
