KHARPS Posted May 7, 2009 Report Share Posted May 7, 2009 Just because the amp is at 1/2 gain doesn't mean you aren't sending the subs full power. fli_noize Posted May 7, 2009 Report Share Posted May 7, 2009 any one know about how long i need till i am done breaking in these subs? i played them for two weeks on amps set a 1/4gain now i have amps set at 1/2 gain and its also been about two weeks so now i will be taking them to 3/4, havent turned it all the way up yet at 1/2 gain subs start to smell just a little is that them breaking in ("I HOPE") i only play them to where they dont get to hot or start to smell them i work it up little by little any input PLEASE?????Check out meade's how to on youtube, he goes over how to set gains on your amp for your subs. Gratz on the great build man. Get a hold of an O-scope or someone that has one and make sure you're not clipping those beautiful subs. Again great job man!!!!!!!!
