Sealed Vs Ported

i have a sealed box right now and it does a decent number. i built the box myself and i know its solid and sealed completely. i have a chance to get a prefab ported box. should i?

is it a good prefab box..kinda and oxymoron.

does the box volume match the requirements for the sub? port area? whats the tuning?

But since you build the sealed, why not build a ported. It would be cheaper

I would say no. Build your own for your vehicle.

If it's cheap, pick it up and resell it, then build yourself a new one.

i do plan on building one in the near future but i wanna know if it will make a difference now. i had a ported box that i built at one time but i switched out to the sealed because it was wearing out.
