Amp Acting Like Its Not Getting Enough Power When Volume High ?

Recommended Posts

Sounds like a speaker issue, not an amp issue. The speaker could be on its way out.

What ohm load is it wired up to? Make sure its not at like .5 ohm or something.

Its wired to 1 Ohm i gues the Giagram I got is 1 Ohm 1 wire goes from the Negative on one post to the other negative on oppasite post and same for the positive then I got the Negative hooked to the left side and the Positive hooked to the right side and running to my amp so 1 ohm right ?

same thing happened to me like a month a go, fried a couple cells in one of my rear batts, fucked everything up, replaced batt, good as new but it was cutting out just like you explain.. so just check your batt voltage with a dmm too just to be safe, and most likely it's just that 8 gauge wire you're runnin

wire is way too f#$%*@# small. in your case, its like trying to get a cadillac through a dog house, knukonceptz wire kit isnt too exspensive, get one. are your RCA wires beside your main power wire? that might have somehting to do with it.

im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire.
