justin smith Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 well im about to start my new build some time next week hopefully and im trying to get my electrical squarred away this weekend so here it goes. i recently recieved my new amp (cactus 5kw), and i know it is going to need alot of juice so my plan is to 1.) upgrade my starting battery to a decent car audio battery (everstart maxx, walmart style now) 2.) do my big 3 in 0 ga (haven't done that yet) 3.) run 0 ga to the trunk 4.) one battery in the trunk for sure (d3100) and possibly another if i need it. ive already got a 200amp alt and so far my knu koncepts cart looks like this: 2, 0ga amp kits(for the extra wire, 250amp fuses), 4, battery terminals, 2, 200 amp fuses(for front and rear batt.), 10 foot of 10ga speaker wire. let me know if i need or dont need anything else please add. also this is the first amp ive owned with two power/ground leads. do i just run a distro-block off my rear battery two 0ga into the amp?thanks justin smith 1996 mercury grand marquis 20'' bentchi b7 lexani n3000 245/35/20 cactus 5kw at 1ohm dcr(beast) 2 18'' btl's in a 14.15^ft wall tuned to 35hz with 210'' of port kicker zx650.4 componets in still the works 200amp motorcraft alt xs power d3100 (beast) kenwood ddx512 h.u. you mean my EX? the one I dumped? just remember every time you kiss her that i used to cum in her mouth and BTW your girl just called me.... pure pwnage

Loudcav Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 depending which battery you put up front you might be able to get away with a single D3100 but more is always better those amps are fine with low voltage and they get even better the more you can give them
