brewer_brewer
900 bucks isn't bad for a clean power amp thats what i'm saying. if its 900 bucks and it sounds like shit then its a rip-off. kingsuv
I've also done a few drop in tests and I too have heard a clear difference in amp to amp. there is a lot of differences to look at in comparing one amp to another. Just look at the wide variety in circuit topologies. I think the lack in differences comes into play when someone just can't hear a difference from one to another. It's nothing against the listener buy some ears are better then others. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
Boon
I have to say I agree with being able to hear a difference (psychoacoustics? Who knows...) Wrms @ thd is all well and good but it doesn't say anything about features like voltage slew rate which have a big effect on how the amp sounds. 10.x volts fo' life! ZombieswithMustaches
I remember reading and seeing these amps in a magazine years ago. Some guy put them in an S-10, I believe. The magazine talked about how warm and natural the truck sounded. I always wanted them, but I heard they were no longer made. Good to see them back. I wouldn't mind a pair for my mids and highs either.
