Also, the port you used will probably work.......it works for me. I also have a row of batterys down below so i dont have much of a choice. I would put it at the bottom if i could and i probably will when i relocate the batts. It still is a pretty effective box design for an SUV though so dont worry about it. I bet it will slam pretty hard just the way you have it. Take some of the advice you read in this thread about double baffle and bracing, etc and put it towards your next box. For now go out there and bang that thing it will be fine.
