Dc Audio Working On A 4" Coiled Subwoofer?

Recommended Posts

Thanks for jumping in ED, we needed a T3 guy in here to clarify, Ive seen a couple of those TSNS monsters and i thought they were 4 inch ones. Its a great sub with lots of Championships to back it up.

4 inch coils and 10 inch spiders is a great combo, thats why I designed the 4 inch motor but like Ramen said that basket was our only hold up, the one FI has is my favroite for sure but we cant use them becuase FI own the right to it, ive been searching and have a basket sorted out.

Problem with that is finding a good basket for a 4" coil. Scott at Fi owns the tooling in the US market for the best 4" Basket which is the 6 spoke Venezuelan.

Im not sure how AudipPulse is coming back with the LMS without rights to the basket. Thilo isnt exactly liked in China. That is all I will say on that topic.

As far as I know Thilo is not using those baskets with the new LMS he is supposedly coming out with. Not sure what the new baskets look like yet. Also JD uses that style of basket on his subs now.

I wouldnt buy a sub from Thilo if it were the last one on earth. We have already seen what happens to his business, last thing you need is to buy a sub and not have any warranty or service to back it up right after you buy it.

Not sure how those new T3 subs will be using them though, but I guess we shall see.

RD is also using these baskets or something very similar.

I've always called DC/Sundown 18" baskets the 18" Venezuelan and the AA/TC/T3 basket the 18" 6 spoke Ti basket
