tape recorder will help in this situation. i always have one, under my seat and one in my visor for cops; b/c its ur words vs. his, if u have what he said on tape, then he can't deny that. not to mention, when they see the 2st one, they tend to remember, that they should act accordingly... but if they get smart, and conficate that from you, you'll have another one in the visor, recording everything he say's. the best part, is they will be of a douche bag, after they make you turn off, or after they conficcate the 1st recorder... then BAM!!! catch on the other on being jerks... its my favorite. my friends mom works as a defense attorney for the STATE OF NY. and she defends cops, who get themselves into trouble over shit like this, and even worse crimes. shes like, you'll never believe what these cops say and do to people, and most of the time, they get away w/ it b/c its he say she say. she says, that most of the time she pretty sure that the cop accused is guilty, judging by the way they conduct themselves, during the initial interview. but yeah, id say do this, b/c its better to spend $40 now, to protect yourself, incase something happens. ntm, if u can prove the cop was out of line, you may have grounds to sue, and get money.

Well, Im probably going to file a complaint tomorrow. I dont think I can get out of the ticket, unless them writing it down wrong can get me out. For my stereo violation it said audio plainly audible WITHIN 25 feet. idk, looks like im just going to have to suck it up and pay the fines. $96x3.

WHen cops don't have anything to do in town they go out and pick on poeples stupid things. Some cops are douch bag. Not trying to say i hate assholes cops but they like to give attitude.

My buddy who was riding with me had a run in with the same cop a few weeks ago. basically did the same thing to him he did to us. Im on the fence as to whether it's worth my time filing a complaint and taking the tickets to court. It's finals week, and Im graduating with my BSBA in about 3 weeks, so im busy as hell. Im probably just going to pay it and say fuck-it.

I have lived in a couple different states and neither one requires you to have a rearview mirror. I also drove a fullsize chevy truck with a trailer and drove in 7 states and none of those needed rearview mirrors. Once again I would fight the mirror ticket.

When my dad was driving to texas to visit family he got a ticket in some state for having something hanging from his rear view mirror! it was only like 2 inches in size, more then likely he was pulled over for something else and the cop had nothing on em so yup...

Yeah my friend was being an idiot and the cop couldnt prove that he was doing burn outs and crap so he wrote him a ticket for having his school parking thing on his mirror.
