Po.Sic
Hey guys, I will be getting a new amp tommorrow since my MA Audio amp is fried. I'm currently running 2 Hifonic Atlas subs which are rated at 900 rms each. I was leaning toward buying the RF T10001bd and wire it to 2ohms since its underrated, but i'm still not sure. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Guest Nismofreak
Go hifonics. Cheap and good. Yah it at 1ohm. Is it a 2-ohm or 4-ohm dual sub? Edited February 22, 2007 by Nismofreak
Chode69
The "actual" 2 ohm rating on the T10001bd varies from 600-1000 RMS. and that isnt even getting full potential of the amp. it can handle a 1 ohm load. i would suggest an amp that will for sure put out the 900 watts needed at 2 ohm if thats the olny way it can be wired. Guest Nismofreak
This hifonics does 900rms at 2ohm http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6522.html. Made by hifonics
Po.Sic
currently i have them wired to 1 ohm so i can keep it that way, if i did, would you say the T10001bd would be a good bet? Chode69
the T10001bd would under power them a little but they will still wang with that amp. very efficient and clean powerful signal. you could get a stronger amp but if you really are set on the T10001bd it is a good amp. On average they put out around 1500 RMS on a powerful electrical system. BassJunkie
If you can afford rockford fosgate, its the way to go, I wish I could get a rf amp instead of a hifonics, but the hifonics will still do what I want it to do Quote 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free.
