Boon Posted April 18, 2009 Report Share Posted April 18, 2009 If you can view it before buying, ask if you can open the amp and check that the rail capacitors haven't shat themselves. They'll probably be a little bit bulged (it's the 2 big ones in the middle of the board) but if they're significantly bulging or there's evidence that they've leaked (look for residue on the board around them) then the amp is on the slippery slope to failure.
