Trying to see if it will work with my 9887 I have in my CRX. sorry brother it doesn't. I only roll Alpine in all my rides (not F1 like Bill). Its for the older Alpine head units. M-Changer. You need an Ai-net changer. Either a CHAS634 OR CHA1204, 6 disk and 12 disk. Or a DVA????? six disk DVD. OH but it does work for OEM Honda's with changer control. If I remember right that only allowed an M-Changer Head-unit to be able to contrail an Ai-Net changer. The 9820 not sure but, FYI look at the full model number of ANY alpine unit, specifically the first three letters. Cd players = CDA DVD players = DVA Tape Players = TDA Indash =IVA CVA IWA CTA etc. the "A" represents its an Ai-Net controller which this Changer is not.
