Neo_frog
How do you think it can handle that? Not calling you wrong, I don't know much of those drivers.. but can one really handle that much power? Wiring it in parallel would create a .25 ohm load also. Yeah, but if you series parallel the coils, you get a 1 ohm load. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? Ben Building
I don't think tones qualify as "daily" usage.
uhoh_45
The MCD4KW was originally designed for running MOJOs. They came out with the Q1s which are stronger than the D2 meant for one or four 4kws. I belive it was Cory Jacobsen (?) who was running 6 mojos Q1s on 24 4KWs and held the world record in Extreme 5+ for a while. I could be wrong there, it's been a while. I was putting 4k into the 12" MOJO D2s and they were eating it up just fine. They are very strong and convenient with the field recone option. i donno the new mojos dont look like they can handle all that power they look downgraded from the old ones but i've notr played with a new one yet so im not sure the old ones were beasts i know that and for the OP i love my atomic apxx's i beat the shit out of them and there still stiff as hell R.I.P! Boon
I don't think any sub (well there's a couple but they're pretty crazy) will take 4k daily 'easily' It just takes 1 good burst of clipped music at that power and you'll be smelling coils. EDIT: As suggestions, DD95/99, RE MT, Fi BTL, AA Mayhem, Atomic APX/APXX 10.x volts fo' life!

M3 DDurango
the new MOJOs (2010) are made over seas now and said to handle more power, but from what I have seen they are not as beastie as even the 08 models I have, but have not tested the new ones either and when I talked to memphis they said would take 2500 daily no probs after 3500 be careful memphis techs own words
