Chris Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Pole chamfer is the hole on the bottom of the mag. that vents the voice coil and reduces pressure on the dustcap I think cooling are more vents, but lead straight to the VC on the top of the mag. all the way around the basket. Hi XMAX voice coil just means more excursion (the cone moves more) and to tell you the truth I dont know what universal is unless it involves the terminals on the sub? The universal option allows for the installation of any different voice coil from the same series of subs. It allows you to swap out the v/c's for whatever config you need at the time.
